This fun, light hearted and fast paced film follows the journey of a group of animals filming their tv show as a random glitch interferes with their production. Scrambling to finish and protect their sensitive data, they attempt various methods of evasion, but their problems just keep multiplying! The animals must choose between saving their film or saving themselves if they ever hope for the chaos to end…

One of my other jobs for the film was helping with this scene of a portal opening  which shows up better on the film itself. Highly recommend checking it out!

My main job during the production of Take a Byte was creating a "fairy dust" like effect with binary code for the glitch bugs.  For that I created my own 1s and 0s to work with using photoshop as seen above.

I animated them using mainly After Effects and Toon Boom Harmony, creating different paths, offsets, opacities and more to archive the desire effect for every single shot. Below there's a compilation of the many effects I did, feel free to see the film on the official website to see the effects in action!
